The Hamilton "Mountain" is an area that is situated atop the Niagara Escarpment which cuts through the middle of the city separating the upper southern and lower northern portions of the city. This region is further divided into different subareas located on the West, Central or East Mountain. Popular with first-time buyers and downsizers this sought after area is relatively affordable.
Homes found in the north section of the Hamilton Mountain were built in approximately the mid to late 1950's and are typically one story brick bungalows. These homes generally feature decent sized mature treed lots. You will also find examples of Mid-Century Modern style architecture in this area. Newer housing development can be found in the southern portion of the Hamilton Mountain south of the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.
